Establishing who someone is, and where the money actually went.

Hinsdale is one of the wealthiest communities in the region, with a protected historic district of substantial older homes on deep lots and a small, busy downtown at the Metra station. It also has a significant hospital presence. The housing stock is the operative detail: large properties with mature planting, carriage houses and rear access, which means the front elevation frequently tells you very little.
Why we are called to Hinsdale
About Hinsdale
The village was largely the creation of William Robbins, who bought land beside the new railroad in the 1860s and laid out a town intended from the outset for prosperous Chicago commuters. It incorporated in 1873. That origin explains the scale of the older housing stock and the size of the lots: it was planned as a wealthy suburb rather than becoming one, and a substantial part of it is now a protected historic district.
We have worked across DuPage and Cook Counties since 1991. Knowing a community — how it was laid out, how it grew, how people actually move through it — is part of how an investigation gets done properly here.
