Our office is on East College Drive, so Arlington Heights is the one village on this list we work from rather than travel to. That matters more than it sounds: surveillance here can begin within the hour, and an investigator can hold a position through a shift change without a commute eating into the day. The village pairs a dense professional district around the downtown Metra station with a very large stock of single-family homes on mature, tree-lined streets.
Why we are called to Arlington Heights
About Arlington Heights
Farming families settled this prairie in the 1830s and 1840s, but the village dates properly from 1854, when William Dunton secured a stop on the new railroad line running north-west out of Chicago. The settlement that grew around the depot was called Dunton for twenty years before taking the name Arlington Heights in 1874. It remained a farming and dairy community well into the twentieth century, and the post-war decades turned it into one of the largest villages in the north-west suburbs.
We have worked across Cook County since 1991. Knowing a community — how it was laid out, how it grew, how people actually move through it — is part of how an investigation gets done properly here.
