Roselle straddles the DuPage–Cook line along the Milwaukee District West rail line, with a compact centre at the station and residential streets spreading either side. The county line runs through inhabited streets here rather than around the edge of the village, so two neighbours can be subject to different courthouses — which is checked before anything is filed or served.
Why we are called to Roselle
About Roselle
Named for Rosell Hough, a Chicago businessman who invested in the area and helped bring the railroad through in 1873, the settlement grew around the new depot with a mill and a small commercial centre. It incorporated in 1922. The railroad still runs through the middle of the village, and the Cook–DuPage county line still runs through its streets.
We have worked across DuPage and Cook Counties since 1991. Knowing a community — how it was laid out, how it grew, how people actually move through it — is part of how an investigation gets done properly here.
