A little history of Stone Park.
One of the smallest municipalities in the county, Stone Park incorporated in 1939 on a fraction of a square mile. Hemmed in immediately by its neighbours, it could never expand outward and instead became extremely dense. A concentration of licensed premises within its tiny area has given it a night-time character out of all proportion to its size.
